It is not sufficient to simply cover up the problem with a special paint in the hope that the problem will go away. Only by preventing the dampness rising up the wall in the first place can rising dampness be adequately controlled.
Although this method has proven to be effective, it is known to have a number of disadvantages; for example, it introduces large amounts of liquid carrier into the wall, prolonging the drying out period. The process is also very slow and operator dependent.
Confirmation of Dryzones efficacy is the Agrëment Board Certificate No 97/3363 awarded for application in both stone and brick construction.

Dryzone is water-based and contains no hydro-carbon solvents.
All drilled holes should be plugged with sand and cement.
In common with all remedial damp proof course systems the adequate removal and correct replastering of internal salt contaminated plaster is an essential requirement. Use Chemical Building Products Rendermix in a sand and cement backing coat with SBR bonding agent. A plaster skim coat can be used to obtain a smooth finish. Ensure a 25mm gap exists between solid floors and render and plaster finish.
DRYZONE APPLICATION GUNThis low cost applicator effectively applies dryzone with a trigger operated gun by back filling each hole then simply plug or point with mortar.
The Dryzone applicator can be cleaned with warm soapy water. After use spray the mechanism with oil before storage.
